Removal and flywheel installation / driving disk



1. To Poddomkratta the car also establish it on props. Remove transmission (see. Head Transmission).

The engine should be hung out from above on the winch or a beam.

2. On models from RKPP remove coupling assembly (see. Head Coupling and power shafts). At once check a condition of components of coupling and directing bearing.
3. On models from AT it will be a high time to check a condition and to replace a forward epiploon / a sealing ring of the pump.
4. With a marker or paint mark the provision of a flywheel / a driving disk concerning an end face of a cranked shaft.

5. Turn out bolts of fastening of a flywheel / a driving disk to a cranked shaft. If in the course of weakening of bolts the shaft starts to be turned, jam a screw-driver or mount between teeths of a wreath of a flywheel (RKPP), or pass a long drift in one of openings of a driving disk, having rested it against a ledge on the block (AT).

6. Remove a flywheel / a driving disk from a cranked shaft.

The weight of assembly of a flywheel / a driving disk is very considerable, - it will be reasonable to resort to the help of the assistant. Put on working gloves not to cut a hand about keen edges of teeths of a wreath of assembly.

7. Carefully wipe a flywheel the rags moistened in acetone, having completely removed from it oil and greasing traces. Check a working surface of a flywheel on existence of cracks, the furrows left heads of rivets of a frictional disk of coupling, traces of an overheat and задиров. Minor defects can be eliminated by means of a fine-grained emery paper. Check a gear wreath on existence of cracks and chips of teeths. Lay a flywheel on a flat surface for the purpose of an assessment of its planeness (use a planeness measuring instrument). In case of need give assembly to a pro-point.
8. Wipe interfaced surfaces of a flywheel / a driving disk and a cranked shaft. If signs of development of leakages of oil through a back epiploon of a cranked shaft take place, make its replacement (see. Section Replacement of a back epiploon of a cranked shaft).



1. Establish a flywheel / a driving disk on a cranked shaft, - track correctness of combination put in the course of dismantle of assembly of landing labels.

On some engines the directing pin is provided, or fixing openings are located asymmetrically that guarantees unambiguity of landing of assembly. Before rolling fixing bolts, grease their carving part with fixing hermetic.

2. Having blocked a flywheel / a driving disk from a provorachivaniye, tighten new fixing bolts with demanded effort in a diagonal order.

Bolts of fastening of a flywheel / a driving disk are subject to replacement without fail.

3. Further installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components.
