Replacement of a forward epiploon of a cranked shaft

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a pulley of a cranked shaft (see. Section Removal and installation of a pulley of a cranked shaft).

2. Having accurately hooked two screw-drivers or big mount, take a forward epiploon of a cranked shaft from the landing nest in a forward cover of a drive of GRM, - try not to damage a shaft pin.

3. Clean walls of a landing nest, having completely removed from them traces of corrosion and fragments of an old epiploon. Fill in a nest a new epiploon (sponges inside), previously having greased its external surface with impellent oil.

4. Having used as an opravka a deep face head of the corresponding size, or a piece of a pipe of suitable diameter, begin to knock an epiploon in a landing nest against the stop in a cover flange.

5. Estimate a condition of a sealing surface of a dempferny nave of a pulley of a cranked shaft. In case of identification of the furrows pierced by an epiploon execute necessary regenerative repair, having pressed in a nave the additional plug.

Landing of the repair plug is made rather simply by means of wooden whetstone and a hammer.

6. Grease sponges new an epiploon with pure impellent oil, then establish into place a pulley of a cranked shaft. Screw a fixing bolt and tighten it with demanded effort.
7. Installation of the remained components is made as it should be the return to an order of their dismantle. Track, that all fixture was tightened with demanded effort.
8. Start the engine and check it on existence of signs of leakages of oil around a forward cover of a drive of GRM.
