Check of pressure of oil


1. Pressure drop of oil can be considered as a sign of that the engine needs regenerative repair. The control lamp of pressure of oil is not among the diagnostic equipment supervising a condition of system of greasing, and only informs the driver on dangerous decrease in oil pressure. Even the measuring instrument of pressure of oil built in the dashboard, despite a big detail of issued information, it is possible to consider only as the device of information character. For data acquisition about pressure of oil which then can be compared to requirements of Specifications, it is necessary to use mechanical (not the electric!) a manometer complete with an exact tachometer.
2. Find the block of the sensor switch of pressure of oil.

3. Remove the sensor switch and establish instead of it a transitional nozzle for connection of a mechanical manometer. For sealing of carving connection of a nozzle use a sealing tape from teflon, or a tape FUM.
4. According to instructions of manufacturers connect to the engine an exact tachometer.
5. Check pressure of oil at working on the turns stipulated in Specifications the heated-up engine to normal working temperature. Compare results of measurements to standard requirements. At excessively low pressure it is necessary to estimate degree of wear of bearings and/or the oil pump.
