Check and adjustment of turns of idling

Frequency of rotation of the engine is called as turns of idling at the released pedal of an accelerator (for example, at a stop on a traffic light). This parameter is critical stochka of sight of efficiency of return of the engine and functioning of its many subsystems. Before starting measurement of turns, make the following checks:

a) Check passableness of a filtering element of an air purifier;
b) Check an inlet air path on existence of signs of leaks;
c) Make sure of lack of signs of losses of depression through vacuum hoses;
d) Check a condition of the battery and serviceability of functioning of system of ignition, including installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition (see. Head of Control and routine maintenance);
e) Check pressure of fuel (see. Section Check of serviceability of functioning of the fuel pump, measurement of pressure of fuel);
f) Check kompressionny pressure in cylinders (see. Part General major maintenance of the engine of Head Engine);
g) Check a condition of EGR and EVAP systems (see. Head of the Control system of the engine);
h) Check TPS adjustment (see. Head of the Control system of the engine);
i) Check onboard system of self-diagnostics on existence of the codes of malfunctions written down in memory (see. Head of the Control system of the engine).

CHECK

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. According to instructions of manufacturers connect to the engine a manual tachometer.

On models since 1995 вып., where the ignition system without the distributor for connection of a tachometer is used the special socket which has been switched on in a plait of electroconducting in the right part of an impellent compartment is provided.

2. Reliably cock the parking brake and prop up protivootkatny boots back wheels. Transfer transmission to the situation "R" or "N". Disconnect everything consumers of the electric power. On models 1993 and 1994 of вып. remove the panel of access to RSM (see. Head of the Control system of the engine).
3. Start the engine and warm up it to normal working temperature. Having established frequency of rotation of the engine in 2000 rpm, three times quickly lift it to value of 3000 rpm, then let's to the engine work within about a minute on single turns.
4. On models 1993 and 1994 of вып. turn out the selector of a choice of modes on RSM wall against the stop clockwise (see. Head of the Control system of the engine).
5. On models since 1995 вып. muffle the engine and disconnect electroconducting from the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve (TPS) (see. Head of the Control system of the engine). Again start the engine and lift frequency of its rotation to value over 3000 rpm three times, having in summary returned to single turns.
6. Consider from a tachometer value of turns of idling and compare result of measurement to requirements of Specifications or data of a label of VECI.

In case of different interpretations it is necessary to give preference to VECI data.

ADJUSTMENT

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. At excessively low or high turns of idling it is necessary to make their adjustment by means of the special adjusting screw.

Do not make attempts to adjust idling turns by means of the lock screw having factory installation located on the case of a throttle.

2. On models 1993 and 1994 of вып. turn against the stop counter-clockwise the selector of a choice of RSM modes, then muffle the engine.
3. On models since 1995 вып. muffle the engine and connect electroconducting to TPS.
4. Disconnect a tachometer.
