Check of a condition and replacement of the sensor of a detonation

Sensors of a detonation react to increase of intensity of vibrations of the engine, usually caused by a detonation of an air and fuel mix. On the basis of information of RSM received from the sensor corrects the moment of an advancing of ignition, trying to support it at the greatest possible level guaranteeing sufficient efficiency of return of the engine. The sensor develops a signal of the alternating current which amplitude raises in proportion to level of vibrations. For compensation of detonations of RSM if necessary gives out team for moving of the moment of ignition towards delay. On models 1993 and 1994 of вып. the sensor is established on the right side of the engine, is direct under a final collector. On models since 1995 вып. the sensor is placed under the inlet pipeline.

CHECK

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Disconnect from the sensor electroconducting. Measure resistance between two plugs of the contact socket of the sensor, - the ohmmeter should register conductivity existence, otherwise replace the sensor.

 Electric resistance of the sensor of a detonation is very high, use an ohmmeter which connecting electroconducting is calculated at least on 10 megohms.

REPLACEMENT

Models 1993 and 1994 of вып.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

 Before starting procedure performance, wait complete cooling of the engine.

1. Empty cooling system (see. Head of Control and routine maintenance).
2. To Poddomkratta the car also establish it on props
3. Disconnect electroconducting from the sensor of a detonation and liberate a plait from intermediate clamps.
4. Remove the sensor from the engine block.
5. Installation is made upside-down.
6. Do not forget to fill cooling system (see. Head of Control and routine maintenance).

Models since 1995 вып.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove both (top and bottom) sections of the inlet pipeline (see. Part SOHC Engines of Head Engine).
2. Disconnect from the sensor electroconducting.

3. Turn out a fixing bolt and remove the sensor from the engine block.

4. Installation is made upside-down.
5. Establish to the place of the inlet pipeline (see. Part SOHC Engines of Head Engine).
