Removal and installation of automatic transmission

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

 Bolts of fastening of transmission have various length, are not interchangeable and at installation should be rolled strictly on the former places.

1. Remove the battery with the pallet (see. Head engine Electric equipment).
2. Remove assembly of an air purifier and the resonator of an inlet air path (see. Head of the Power supply system and release).
3. Disconnect electroconducting from electromagnetic valves of transmission, the sensor of turns, the sensor switch of permission of starts/fires of a backing, VSS and, on models since 1995 вып., - sensor of provision of a cranked shaft (SKR). It will be reasonable to remove the SKR sensor in order to avoid damage it during transmission dismantle.
4. Disconnect the corresponding ventilating hoses.

5. Remove the left support of a suspension bracket of transmission.

6. Turn out the top bolts of fastening of transmission to the engine.
7. Remove a starter (see. Head engine Electric equipment).
8. Weaken wheel nuts, поддомкратьте the car and establish it on props. Remove wheels. Merge ATF (see. Head of Control and routine maintenance).
9. Remove directing tube щупа measurements of level of transmission liquid.

10. Disconnect lines of an oil refrigerant path.

11. Disconnect from transmission a driving cable of management of gear shifting (see. Section Check, adjustment and replacement of a cable of gear shifting).
12. Remove power shafts (see. Head Coupling and power shafts).

13. Uncover access to the rotation converter.

14. Mark position of the converter of rotation in relation to a driving disk.

15. Turn out bolts of fastening of the converter of rotation.
16. Hang out the engine on the winch or a beam, or prop up it from below a jack (do not forget to enclose for distribution of loading wooden whetstone).
17. In a special way equipped jack prop up transmission and fix it on a jack safety chains.
18. Remove the central beam (see. Head Engine).
19. Turn out fastening bolts to transmission of the pallet of a case of the engine. Turn out forward and a bolt of fastening of transmission to the engine and a back bolt of fastening of the engine to transmission.
20. Slightly omit transmission on a jack and last time make sure that nothing stirs office it from the engine.
21. Shift a jack aside, removing assembly of a case of transmission from directing pins. Track, that the rotation converter did not drop out, - at once fix it in the separated assembly. Lower a jack and take transmission from under the car.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Make sure of reliability of fastening in transmission of the converter of rotation. Measure distance from a boltovy opening of the converter to an interfaced surface of transmission, - it should make not less than 19 mm on models of 1993 вып., 18 mm on models of 1994 вып., 14 mm on models from 1995 to 1997 вып. and 19 mm on models since 1998 вып., otherwise turn the converter, at the same time pressing it in assembly, - click should be distributed.
2. Having fixed transmission assembly on a jack safety chains, get it on the regular place, - track, that the rotation converter (try not to incline assembly) did not slip out.
3. Press transmission to the engine, accurately putting on it reception openings directing pins.
4. Achieve combination of landing labels on the converter of rotation and a driving disk.
5. Screw bolts of fastening of transmission and tighten them with demanded effort.

6. Serially screw bolts of fastening of the converter of rotation to a driving disk, tighten them with demanded effort. Establish into place a cover of access to the converter, strongly tighten its fixture.
7. Establish the central beam. Track reliability of a tightening of fixture.
8. Establish the left support of a suspension bracket of transmission. Strongly tighten fixing bolts and nuts.
9. Clean propping-up assemblies of transmission and the engine jacks.
10. Establish into place directing tube measuring щупа.
11. Establish a starter (see. Head engine Electric equipment).
12. Connect a cable of a drive of gear shifting (see. Section Check, adjustment and replacement of a cable of gear shifting).
13. Connect electroconducting to the corresponding electromagnetic valves and sensors.
14. Connect to transmission power shafts (see. Head Coupling and power shafts).
15. Lower the car on the earth.
16. Fill in in transmission necessary quantity of ATF of a demanded grade (see. Head of Control and routine maintenance). Make trial runs of the car, check the unit on existence of signs of development of leaks.
