General information
Originators of the real Management do not recommend to owners of cars to undertake performance of major maintenance of AT independently. During performance of procedures of dismantling and assembly of transmission it is necessary to remove, and then to establish into place a set of small components. It is necessary to make mass of the most exact measurements and, by selection of adjusting washers, rings and remote plugs, accurately to expose a set of gaps. In view of all aforesaid, it will be more reasonable to charge performance of major maintenance of AT to specialists of car-care center. Let's notice that in many cases there is a possibility on an exchange basis to get the restored block that often there is cheaper, than a carrying out difficult repair.
Despite the told, independent performance of repair of AT by the amateur mechanic at all is not absolutely impossible action. Indispensable conditions are only existence of the necessary special tool and accuracy in an approach to performance of all procedures.
The number necessary for performance of regenerative repair of AT of tools includes nippers for removal of internal and external lock rings, a stripper of bearings, a hammer with sliding brisk, a set of drifts and center punches, a measuring instrument of DTI and, probably, a hydraulic press. Besides, certainly, the workbench, or the special assembly stand is required strong, equipped with a vice.
During performance of procedures of dismantling of AT try to remember, and it is better to write down, an order of installation of each of removed details.
Before starting transmission dismantling, it will be reasonable to try to analyse symptoms of its refusals for the purpose of approximate definition of their reasons. Many refusals are unequivocally connected with failure of quite certain components. See also Section devoted to diagnostics of malfunctions of AT, at the beginning of the Management.

1. On illustrations schemes of an arrangement of the AT internal components and functioning of hydraulic system are presented. 2. Merge ATF (see. Head of Control and routine maintenance).

3. Remove the rotation converter. |

4. Remove the operating cylinder. |
|
5. Uncover klapanny assembly. |
|
6. Disconnect electroconducting from the operating valve and remove klapanny assembly |
7. Disconnect a terminal plait.
|
The plait is laid rather deeply and can be hooked at a pulling - try not to make excessive efforts. At a pulling bend a plait inside and push it outside. Do not pull assembly for a wire. |

8. Remove the hydroaccumulator. |
|
9. Remove a lateral cover. |
|
10. Remove a target gear wheel. |
|
11. By means of a stripper take an intermediate gear wheel. |
|
12. Remove a lay latch, a returnable spring and a pin with laying. |
|
13. Remove components of a drive of a speedometer. |
|
14. Remove a regulator shaft. |
|
15. Establish AT assembly on a bar and remove a casing of the converter of rotation. |
16. Remove assembly of the main transfer.

17. After removal of ring consolidation take primary shaft from a converter casing. |
|
18. Remove the mesh oil filter. |
|
19. Lift the receiver supply of greasing in differential. |
|
20. Weaken a nut of a rod clamp of a tape brake, then turn out a core from the piston. |
|
21. Remove a brake tape, take the coupling of coupling of raising transfers and knot of the coupling of inclusion of a reverse gear. |
|
22. In order to avoid damage of frictional overlays of a drum-type brake try not to stretch a flexible strip excessively. At removal of a brake tape hold it for a bracket. After removal of a tape lower a bracket in a starting position. |

23. Remove the obgonny coupling, a forward fixing element, a back fixing element and the coupling of lowering transfer. |
|
24. Remove couplings of coupling of the lowered and back transfers, disconnect a persistent ring of a clamp of a brake of the lowered and back transfers. |
|
25. By supply of the compressed air remove the piston of a brake of towage and a reverse gear. |
|
26. Remove separator assembly. |
|
27. Remove a persistent ring of the servomotor. |
|
28. Remove the servomotor of a drive of a tape brake and a returnable spring. |
29. Weaken lock-nuts of a shaft of manual control and remove a plate of a manual drive.

30. Take a pin and remove a shaft of manual control. |
